Mobile Games Have High Entertainment Value

By Jason Phillips

Mobile phone gaming has evolved to become more sophisticated than it was years ago, with the increasing growth in technology. Many popular video games are actually now available as mobile games. What has been the game changer though, is the fact that the Apple iPhone, as well as other very popular console games such as Fifa, Call of Duty and Need for Speed can now be enjoyed on mobile handsets.

When it comes to mobile games however, the games with versatile play options and impressive visuals, do not have to be the most popular ones. In fact, the mobile games that are very popular, cannot boast of having these attributes. With mobile phone gaming, the games that can be played very quickly as well as frequently enough to allow the user to form an addictive experience, become the most popular. Here are three of the more hugely popular mobile games.

Many people enjoy playing Bejeweled, a classic game that is simple to play. This is a timed game that requires players to match the same color gems across horizontal and vertical line. The visuals are basic and the game is not complicated but reports show that since it was launched in 2001 as a browser version, it has been downloaded over 150 million times.

Angry Birds: Rovio is the creator of this game that enjoys gamer popularity almost equal to that of Bejeweled. This mobile game may be played via both Android and iPhone devices. Like other popular competitors, it is easy to play. All a player must do is destroy invading pigs by using angry birds as living slingshots. Despite this simplicity, this game is so addictive as to induce over 100,000,000 downloads throughout various platforms.

Tetris has been around the longest with a release date of 1984. This is another puzzle game. As a Nintendo title, it attracted a huge following and it is now successful as a game designed for use on mobile phones. Like the other two games, it has more than 100 million downloads.
