Why The Standard Poodle Yorkie Is Getting More Popular

By Jeffrey Ward

There are dogs that are great for family groups and places like apartment units and those that have little or no yard space. They can also be good companions for singles or seniors, or people who like to live alone but with somebody else other than a human as a living companion. The best canine companions for this type of situations are also the most loved, well known and unique breeds in the world.

Canines with the best natures are always the types popular in homes. The Standard Poodle Yorkie has been providing good companionship to many families for a very long time and they come from two of the recognized breeds for this in the AKC or American Kennel Club. This is the organization which monitors the quality of pups that are bred and raised in recognized kennels throughout the nation.

Bred from Yorkshire Terriers and Toy Poodles, the Yorkie is a little dog that has so much energy and liveliness without being too frenetic. They enjoy a light, fun atmosphere and endeavor to create this around the home, taking masters out of their gloom. Yorkies are as much a backyard as all the other breeds, despite their being small.

These are the best suited types for roles as lapdogs, and enjoy being with children, adults and seniors. They have the warmest attitudes and are quite attuned to the emotions of their masters, and have the most amazing understanding of human ways. Yorkies, though, are still be recognized as a legitimate or real breed by all the organizations that apply like the AKC.

The name that really fits for the type is designer dog, usually in use for those combinations of two popular and well developed breeds, like the Yorkshire Terrier and the Toy Poodle, by some owners or experts. The thing here is to develop or generate the best mixtures of qualities into one type, qualities like affection, intelligence and gentleness. One of the more unique characteristics of Yorkies is their eagerness to please people.

Despite their being small, they make for excellent guards around the home. They have big barks and are also courageous, having come from one breed that used to be the most popular guardians for houses in England. They also have great physical gifts, like excellent running and leaping capabilities.

Being intelligent, they can learn tricks easily. In shows and other types of competition, they have some of the best routines in the business. They are also show stoppers, popular among an audience, which they love to please as well as their masters. One of their most unique traits is that of being a clown, which they do to their utmost during competitive performances.

Yorkies are very good looking and have excellent points for grooming and show purposes. They really take after their handsome parent breeds, and are becoming a force to reckon with in competition because of this. It will probably not take long for them to become a legitimate breed.

More unique and interesting traits for them are a great tolerance for different weather conditions, their being suited for novice owners and high adaptability, as well as their general good health and sensitivity.
