Configuration For A Wi-Fi Social Hot Spot Solution

By Johnny Ruhaul

Hi everyone this will hopefully be a quick overview or a quick posting on just a general guideline or quick instructions on how to configure or set up your social WiFi hardware or wireless router.

As mentioned in our previous blog our hardware will ship from either our Toronto , Canada warehouse or our Las Vegas, Nevada office. We ship all of our hotspot social wifi hardware all across the USA.

Please ensure you document the following; IP address of your device & gateway, DNS server address Radius connection, Cloud connection,VPN connection

For logistics and shipping for our social WiFi hardware the majority of our products or I would say at least 60% of them have been shipping from our distribution office in Canada. Many customers are asking which product is the most popular and which is the most low cost maintenance. From what we've seen the TP-link wireless router has been a very popular social wi-fi enabled sensor. I would say 60% of our customers have been ordering these and they are mostly retail and restaurant businesses that are roughly 800-1000 square feet in size.

Make sure the router is connected to a live and open internet connection ,Switch 'OFF' the router, after 10 seconds, Switch 'ON' on the router and press the mini reset button repeatedly and rapidly until the 2nd light (star light) from the left on the front of the router starts flashing rapidly, Stop pressing the Reset button. After 60 seconds the router will reboot itself with its new settings from our cloud server restoring it to working order. This should work with all or most of our social wifi hardware enabled routers.

To summarize our level 1 or bronze packaged social wifi hardware or routers are for small retail or restaurant establishments that will have up to 40 users with limited features. Level 2 or silver to gold packages include enterprise robust social wifi hardware sensors that come standard with content filtering and bandwidth restrictions.
